Rue is one of the most commonly used herbs in magickal settings, across the globe. But it's the nature of its transmutation that makes it so powerful.

When in bloom, bright clusters of yellow flowers seem enticing to pick, but its sap causes severe dermatitis and blistering when touched. Miraculously, cultures from every continent found that by boiling the herb, they could denature the toxin and render it safe for use.

What's even stranger is that rue's use in folk magick is also universal. Traditionally, it's used in ceremonial baths, floor washes, and anointing oils to bring abundance, protection, love, luck, and fortune to the practitioner.

I've infused both organic ruda rue herb and oil in these soy candles, making them perfect for adorning mantles or placed in the heart of the home to usher in the aforementioned properties into your home. They burn clean, have the slightest astringent fragrance, and are made in small batches only to keep ingredients fresh.
